
Pilates has been a great addition to my life. Not only have I grown a ½ inch, but I have better posture and less back pain. Dana does an excellent job in customizing a program that works for my specific body issues and needs. She is knowledgeable, personable, and encourages me to the next level of performance. Without Pilates and her instruction, I would most likely still be living a part time life instead of a full time one!

I have been taking Pilates from Dana for almost two years. I look forward to going every time. I have chronic back pain so felt Pilates could help strengthen my core and alleviate some pain. It totally has. Dana is a fun and kind instructor but she is also very serious. She personalizes each clients instruction to meet their needs and ensure they get a complete workout. I’m a woman in my 60’s, not at all an athlete, but I’m in pretty good shape. I came to Dana’s Lift Studio as a beginner. I had taken a series of private Pilates classes at another studio and had a slight grasp of the breathing and principles, but Dana’s instruction brought it all alive. She totally embraces the concept of Pilates and how its utilization of the small, inner muscles leads to strength and better function. Just what I needed!
She is a quintessential professional--as upbeat as she is experienced. She searches for the right verbal cues to get each individual in the proper form, and makes me feel that while I’m there, nothing is more important than my progress. Dana’s classes are fun! She is very encouraging and still makes you work. She gives cues that help you use the right muscles and she gives individual attention without stopping the flow of the class. Her hands-on is great! When she puts her hands on you, you can really feel what you’re supposed to do in your body and afterwards you can do it much better on your own. Her classes are uplifting and lighthearted. I enjoy her classes and feel good afterwards!

After 10 years and 2 kids, I decided it was time to start exercising again. As a busy mother, I wanted to find a physical fitness system that would strengthen and tone my body without adding stress injuries along the way. After doing a bit of research, I decided that Pilates was my best bet.
Finding Dana and her Lift Pilates Studio has been a stroke of luck. Working closely with her has greatly improved my circulation, posture, flexibility and core strength. Not only is she an outstanding Pilates instructor (with a knack for coming up with great visuals) she is also superbly fun to work with!
